Wow, 5 years has gone fast! It feels like a good time to share our story so far and some of the positive (and challenging!) memories from the last 5 years…
Hi, I’m Will, I’m the owner / MD at Prospect Print. I worked in print for my Dad’s business, Laser Graphics for 20 years. I loved print production and we were lucky to have great customers that we enjoyed working with every day. Unfortunately, when Covid struck, my Dad made the tough decision to close the company after an incredible 32 years.
I wasn’t ready to let it all go, so in June 2020, Prospect Print was born! We were lucky to start up with a customer base and equipment, but our customers were struggling with the knock-on effects of the pandemic, and we found ourselves locked out of our premises for a while – it was strange times, and certainly not an easy start!
Anyway, onwards and upwards… In October 2020 I was able to bring Matt on-board. We had worked together at Laser Graphics and I needed his experience and expertise, as well as a trusted friend to help run production.
The following month we moved to premises in Bletchley. We had one day to move all our equipment, which was a massive task but was made possible with the support of family and friends. The timing was crucial, as Covid restrictions were starting to lift, allowing businesses and events to start back up and the work to pick up with it.
In 2022 we had grown enough to start investing in more equipment. Our first big purchase was a digital die-cutter. Following this, we added an encapsulation laminating system, a traditional foiling machine and a large format poster printer. These investments were so important in being able to meet our customer’s needs.
By August 2023, we needed more space for all the new kit, so we moved to our current premises in Bradwell Abbey. This was a huge milestone for us, giving us a lot more space and a great central location, just off the A5.
It was a tough couple of years, we were staying late every night to ensure we delivered a great service to our customers. In January 2024, Matt’s sister Abbie joined us. How lucky we are that she did, as it completely changed everything, with her whizzing around like she had been in the job for years and making it all look easy!
Later that year my cousin Ellie joined us too, and has added even more of a creative spark, positivity, and dedication to hard work within the team. Growing the team has given us all a much better work/life balance and enabled us to meet our customer’s deadlines with greater ease.
Last September, we purchased a brand new printing press and booklet maker. This started a new chapter for us, as we can offer our customers the latest technology and highest quality print.
So now we are in 2025 and celebrating 5 years! The vision has come to life for Prospect Print – a Milton Keynes B2B printers who pride themselves on quality, reliability, and exceptional service.
